With the holidays right around the corner, this party in Bento-ville is inspired by one of my favorite entertaining appetizers: the classic shrimp cocktail. These small but mighty protein powerhouses aren’t the only ones invited, however. Also on the guest list are glucomannan noodles (which I absolutely love for their numerous health benefits) along with a simple and easy homemade cocktail sauce. After inviting a few extra accompaniments, the result is another wholesome, fun, and delicious meal that is well worth celebrating!

‘Tis the season for all sorts of wrapping. If neatness is not your forte, you are likely still cleaning up all of the crumpled wrapping paper left behind from your holiday gifts. If you live in a part of the world where winter is at its peak, you are probably wrapped in layers upon layers of warm clothing. You might also be wrapped up in achieving your New Year’s resolution, whatever it may be.
If you are anything like me with an insatiable Bottomless Stomach appetite, you are wrapped up in thoughts about food right now. You are thinking about how delicious your last meal was…looking forward to your next one…and figuring out what to do with that darn package of sushi nori that has been sitting in the back of your pantry since goodness knows when.
There is no such thing as an inopportune time for bento. Whether you are a back-to-schooler, office employee, or just a work-at-homer who likes to have fun with food, the adorable, delicious, and high-volume combinations are endless!
Wait no more…the next bento meal has arrived!
I am happy to present my first bento box meal using my brand new gear! The only issue I found when using it is that it does not allow for large portions. Having the bottomless stomach that I do, I personally have found it best to utilize the packed box as either a small snack or included as part of a larger meal. Nonetheless, I enjoy the concept, preparation process, and of course consuming the fruits of my labor. I hope you do too!
